A Space is a private hub for both you and an Athlete to collaborate, share videos, photos and notes, as well as track an Athlete’s development and analyze their performance, all in one place. They are perfect for 1:1 training and personal growth. You can also add members or recruiters to track an Athlete’s progress.
Spaces connect you to who and what matters most to your development, and gives you the platform to reach your personal goals.
1 – Tap the blue ‘+’ button on the home screen. Here, choose or create a new ‘Sport’ and select or invite a new ‘Athlete’ to work with. Sport will be pre-selected if you’ve defined your sport already during Sign Up to make creation faster.
2 – You can also add any other Coaches, Fans or Scouts that are interested in the success of your Athlete. This is optional.
3 – You also have the option to add this Space to a Segment, which groups various Spaces together for simplified, one-time communications with Members. This option will only appear if you have Segments.
4 – Utilize Notification settings during Space creation to set your preferences for app push or email communications. These will default with any other Space you create moving forward.
5 – Tap ‘Create’ in the top bar and invitations will be sent to the selected Athlete and Members. We’ll let you know when they join in the Notifications > Invitations tab.
You can invite Members to Spaces/Teams at any time. Here’s how:
Navigate to the Space/Team, tap the cog icon in the top bar, tap the “Members” button, and then “Invite Members”. Here, you’ll have the option to invite more Coaches, Athletes (Teams only), and Members into the Space/Team via email or your device’s contact list.
1 – Select the blue ‘+’ button on the Teams tab from the home screen. Here, choose or create a new ‘Sport’. Sport will be pre-selected if you’ve defined your sport already during Sign Up to make creation faster.
2 – Enter your team’s name, add an optional logo, and update any general contact information.
3 – Enable Invitation Links which allows any members to join the Team via public, shareable links. Add athletes and members, as well as Managers, who can help you organize, invite, or edit Team information.
4 – Utilize Notification settings during Team creation to set your preferences for app push or email communications. These will default with any other Team you create moving forward. Tap ‘Create’ in the top bar and invitations will be sent to the selected Athlete and Members. We’ll let you know when they join in the Notifications > Invitations tab.
Tags allow you to easily organize instructional posts and media and makes them more searchable for yourself and other Members.
When creating a new post, simply tap the “Add Tags” button and you’ll be able to create and sort Tags at any given time. In your Feed or Space/Team, tap the funnel icon in the top bar and you’ll easily be able to filter media by Tags.
1 – Tap the orange capture button to display a list of media options:
- “Video” and “Photo” will open your camera to capture new media.
- “Library” will open your device or Edufii Library to choose existing media.
- “Note” will just be a text-based post.
- “Audio” will open your microphone to capture new audio.
- “Document” let’s you choose docs from Dropbox, Word, iCloud, and more.
2 – After selecting and/or capturing your media, you’ll be brought to the Post editing view. If you’re posting from the Home or Feed, you must select Space(s) this post will go into. If you’re already in a Space, the destination will be pre-selected.
3 – Optionally, you can create and customize post Tags, which make it easy to filter and organize a large collection of posts for your audience. Select from Tags you’ve created, Tags from a specific Space, or create a new one easily.
4 – You can also telestrate or edit video/imagery before you post by tapping the pencil icon over the media thumbnail. Note: If you use Snapshot or Recording features here your original media will be discarded and replaced.
5 – Simply tap “Post” and your media will be uploaded to the selected Space/Team(s). Larger media will take a bit longer to post. You can view their progress by tapping the lightning bolt icon in the top bar of the Feed.
Video: mov, avi, mp4, m4v, mkv, wmv, mpg, mpeg, webm, ogv, 3gp, 3gp2, 3g2, 3gpp, 3gpp2, Youtube and Vimeo links (embedding currently not supported)
Imagery: gif, jpeg, jpg, png
Documents: doc, docx, pdf, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx
Audio: m4a, mp3, wav, wma, aif, ogg
Tip: Loading larger files can take a little longer, but connecting to stable wi-fi can help speed up the uploading process!
Video and image analysis tools that help athletes get better faster, and helps coaches give timely feedback in a comprehensive way. Here’s how:
Slo-mo and scrubbing
Upload or select any video/image. If it’s a shorter video, the app will automatically process slow motion which allows for fine-tuned scrubbing. For longer videos, simply tap the slo-mo icon in the bottom right corner and it will begin to process. Once done, you can select which speed ratio you want the video to play at.
Use a set of simple telestration tools on the right to emphasize and draw on any portion of the media. Taping an option when it’s already selected will reveal different color options. You can also undo or delete drawings using the icons on the left side.
Tap the camera icon in the top bar to save a snapshot of the media. You can then create a new post with the snapshot or add it as a reply to any post thread you’re in.
Tap the microphone icon in the top bar to record your voice and actions on the media. Once done, tap the red square to stop and save the recording. Like snapshot, you can then create a new post or add it as a reply to any post thread you’re in.
Tap the “VS” icon in the top bar to compare media. You can select media from your device’s library, CoachNow Library, the current Space or another Space you’re a part of. If you want to synchronize certain parts, tap the link icon in the bottom right and you’ll be able to scrub both videos at the same time.
Tap the reply bubble icon in the top right to return to the media’s thread. This icon will only appear for media selected from the Feed, Space or Team.
Notifications are crucial to staying up-to-date and keeping your communications active, but sometimes it’s easy to get bogged down. Here’s how to manage them:
Get a daily or weekly email summary of all activity from Spaces or Teams you’re apart of. Navigate to Notifications, tap the gear icon in the top bar, and tap “Daily Digest” to fine-tune when you get the email during the day.
You can also manage the type of notifications you get per Space/Team you’re a part of. Navigate to Notifications, tap the gear icon in the top bar, and tap “Spaces” or “Teams”. Tap the email or phone icons to turn on/off notifications for that specific Space/Team.
Only the creator of a Space or owner of a Team can delete it, and any Athletes or members can leave to remove it from their profile. Here’s how:
Deleting a Space/Team
If you’ve created the Space or Team, navigate to it from the home screen, tap the gear icon in the top bar for its Settings, scroll to the bottom and hit “Delete”. Once you’ve accepted the prompt, the Space/Team will be deleted.
Note: Deleting a Space/Team can’t be undone from the apps, however if you contact us, we can recover it for you.
Leaving a Space/Team
If you’ve joined the Space or Team, navigate to it from the home screen, tap the gear icon in the top bar for its Settings, scroll to the bottom and hit “Leave”. Once you’ve accepted the prompt, you won’t be part of the Space/Team anymore.
Note: Leaving a Space/Team can be undone. Contact the creator of the Space/Team and they can re-invite you at any time.
You can always edit or delete post and replies you’ve added. If you’re the owner of a Space/Team, you can moderate any posts/replies from any member that appear it it. Here’s how:
Editing a post
If you’ve created the post or you’re the owner of the Space/Team, navigate to the post, then tap the 3-dot icon in the top bar. Tap “Edit” and you can update copy or edit/add its Tags. After making changes, tap “Update” in the top bar.
Deleting a post
If you’ve created the post or you’re the owner of the Space/Team, navigate to the post, then tap the 3-dot icon in the top bar. Tap “Delete”, accept the prompt and the post will be deleted.
Editing/deleting a reply
If you’ve created the reply or you’re the owner of the Space/Team, navigate to the reply, then tap and hold down on it. Here you can copy, edit or delete it.
Editing invitations is helpful for incorrectly entering email addresses. Resending is also an easy way to quickly re-engage your invitees so that they can stay on top of it. We’ll also automatically send invitation reminders to them every couple days. Here’s how:

Navigate to the Notifications view, tap the Invitations tab at the top, and tap/swipe the 3-dot icon on the actual Invitation to view its options.

- Profile picture
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Sport and role

Navigate to Settings, tap the “Edit Profile” button at the top, and scroll to view the list of all available options. After editing, you can tap “Save” or back track to overwrite information.
Easily manage how much device storage and content Edufii takes up on your device. Adjusting limits can help improve performance.
Adjust device storage use
Navigate to Settings, and tap the button below the “Device Storage Use” title. Here you can view how much storage you’re currently using and set the limit for storage manually.
In this view, tap the “Clear CoachNow Storage” button at the bottom. Clearing storage will remove it from the device but not from our server. If you mistakenly cleared your storage, contact us and we can retrieve it for you.
Most video analysis tools have a feature that will allow you to export your content to other apps. If you have other analysis tools you prefer to use it is quite simple to transfer those videos over to CoachNow and make them easily accessible to your athletes.
Open your Coach’s Eye app > Select the video you’d like to share to CoachNow > Select the three dots in the top right portion of the screen and choose share > Export from App > Open in… > Find CoachNow in the list of apps > Choose a Space and select Post in the top right hand corner of the screen
Open your Hudl app > Click to the right of the video you want to share > Choose share > Export to other apps & devices > Find CoachNow in the list of apps > Choose a Space and select Post in the top right hand corner of the screen
Other tools are not always as simple but we can help you as long as you can get the video or content out of the app or tool you are using.
Your privacy, security, and any other personal data are extremely important to us and we want to do our best to make sure your experience is intimate and fulfilling with Coaches, Athletes, and members alike. Here are some features we put in place to make this possible:
- CoachNow doesn’t offer a public database, so your account will not be searchable by any other website, platform, or service.
- Only members who have been invited to a TrainingSpace/Team can see its content by default.
- In order to invite someone to your Space/Team, all you’ll need to know is their email address and we’ll securely handle the rest.
- Once you have established a connection with someone in a TrainingSpace, their name will be only be listed as contact within CoachNow and nothing more.

What if I choose not to continue with CoachNow+?
If you decide not to upgrade to CoachNow+, you can still actively participate in your first five Spaces. Though participation will be limited in any additional Spaces, you will still be able to view any existing content. Those additional Spaces will essentially be “read only” for you, and you will need a CoachNow+ account in order to post or reply.
Note: Your athletes/fans can continue posting in a Space, regardless of your CoachNow+ account status.
If the timing isn’t right, you will always have the option to upgrade to a CoachNow+ subscription anytime and regain full access to those existing Spaces!
If you need to take a break from CoachNow+ due to seasonality, injury, etc. we’ll essentially put your account on pause or “read only”.
The last thing we want is for you to lose any data or access to your Spaces. You’ll still be able to see everything (even new posts) but won’t be able to actively post/reply or work in your Spaces/Teams. You’ll be able to resume your CoachNow+ membership at any time to regain full access to the CoachNow+ Features.
Note: Your athletes/fans can keep posting, liking, and replying without losing their normal access or features.

Segments is a group messaging feature that allows you to separate your athletes/clients into groups and post directly to their individual Spaces.
This feature works similarly to email distribution lists, but only you can see which Spaces the content was posted in. Segments can be utilized to create groups that may have attended a specific clinic who may be in a certain age group.
For example, if you Coach Youth and High School aged students, you can create a specific segment for ‘Youth’. Anytime you need to share something with that group, just post it to the Youth Segment and it will be visible by all of the Athletes you’ve added to that particular group.
Templates make creating Spaces easier and more efficient when you are working with multiple Clients/Athletes.
As a Coach, you can create a Template that includes all the information you’d like to share with new Clients/Athletes. When you use that Template to create a new Space, everything you added to that Template will be visible when the Client/Athlete accepts their invitation.
Creating a Template
Start at the Library tab in the left pane menu, then select “Templates” at the top. Next click “+ New Template” and give it a name before loading it up with any videos, pictures and other media you want your Athletes’ Spaces to come pre-filled with.
You can rearrange media after you put it in your Template so posts are ordered how you want them.
Note: Templates is currently only available on the CoachNow web app. We will be looking to include it in our mobile apps in the future!

CoachNow does offer a bulk discount for Schools, Clubs and other Organizations that have five or more coaches.

Sometimes CoachNow will have issues connecting with Facebook. Here are steps to help you sign in and reconnect your Facebook account:
1 – Open your Facebook app or visit facebook.com
2 – Login if you haven’t already and navigate to Settings & Privacy > Account Settings > Apps
3 – Go to Logged in with Facebook > CoachNow > Remove App > Confirm
4 – Open CoachNow and Sign In/Sign Up to reactivate Facebook
On Apple devices in particular, in order to access media on your device, you will need to give the CoachNow app permission to do so. If you do certain actions in the app, your device will ask you to give access to certain features, like access to your camera and microphone. If you deny, you won’t be able to use the app as intended.
To give permission, go to your Device Settings > Privacy > Photos, Microphone and Camera. You will need to find CoachNow under each of those three categories, and make sure the switch is toggled to the ON (green) position.
