Don’t just hype the tools, hype the system.

I’ve found that, far too often, coaches are hyping all the technology that they use. This essentially boils down to them saying “Hey athlete, look at me. Look at how much money I’m spending to build my business.” 

But let’s be honest. Athletes don’t care about that - they want to know what’s in it for them.

So if you’re gonna talk about the tools, you need to actually contextualize it into a system. 

In other words, show the athlete how all of these tools come together to help them get better faster. And, by extension, help them understand why they should choose you as their coach.

Countless coaches fall into the trap of promising more than they can execute, offering vague promises to athletes and their families.

This doesn't need to be difficult. You just need to take the time to really break down what you're offering your athletes. 

Ask yourself:

  • What specific niche do I occupy?

  • What are the common personas in that niche (e.g. age, gender, income, skill level, etc.)?

  • What value/results/outcome can I provide for that niche?

GET SPECIFIC in your answers to those questions, then create a pitch that focuses on that (and ONLY that) audience.

Doing so ensures you only bring in athletes who are a good fit for your coaching and system. As a result, your athletes will be happier, stay with you for longer, and spread the word to others like them.
