3 Ways to Make Your Coaching Offer Stand Out From The Crowd

CoachNow 3 ways to make your coaching offer stand out from the crowd
Trust Me. I know how challenging it can be to set yourself apart from your competition.

There are SO many coaching programs out there…How can you ensure that someone chooses YOURS?

Having seen and audited thousands of coaching businesses, I’ve noticed 3 things that are often overlooked, but SO important, to the growth of coaching businesses.

So this week, I want to share my advice on how to make your coaching offer stand out from the crowd.

These topics are quite broad but relatively easy to implement. Think of them as a starting off point.

Give it a quick read. Even if you can improve in just ONE of these areas, I promise it’ll pay dividends for your business.

Let’s get to it.

Define and Stick to a Niche

You’ve heard me say it a thousand times… Riches are in the niches.

All too often coaches fall into the trap of promising more than they can execute, offering vague promises to athletes and their families.

But there are countless coaches in your sport, all offering similar promises... So how do you stand out?

Easy. Be hyper-specific about what you’re offering athletes.

To get started, just ask yourself:

  • What specific niche do I occupy?

  • What are the common personas in that niche (e.g. age, gender, income, skill level, etc.)?

  • What value/results/outcome can I provide for that niche?

Answer those questions in the most specific way possible. Then create a pitch that focuses only on an audience that matches your answers.

Perhaps ironically, you can increase demand for your coaching services by NOT serving those who don’t match your ideal athlete persona.

Doing so ensures you only bring in people who are a good fit for your coaching. As a result, your athletes will be happier, stay with you for longer, and spread the word to others like them.

Foster a Unique Digital Presence

I’ve found that coaches often underestimate the importance that technology plays in their business.

Crafting your own, unique presence online is one of the best things you can do to reach your target audience and achieve your moonshot goals.

Social Media is a great way to connect with your audience and get people to take action. But don’t overthink it - just use that channel to consistently reiterate what you’ve already said on your website and in emails.

Once you connect with a potential athlete online, get them off of social media ASAP with a lead magnet. Figure out what offer is the best fit for your business - a newsletter, free video, or something else your ideal clients will find valuable…

Give them something valuable, get their email in return, and you’re off to the races.

Another way to keep up with your competition online is by using the Meta Ads Library. It’s something I cover at length in the Level 1 ConnectedCoach Blueprint.

Ever wondered what other coaches are spending on advertising? What’s working for them? What isn’t?

I’ve found it very interesting to see what ads other coaches are running, how much money they’re spending on them, and which ones are bringing them success.

I’m not necessarily saying you need to run ads yourself.. I just think it’s valuable to see what brands that are BIGGER than you are doing. Maybe you’ll get some inspiration for what you can try yourself.

Keep in mind – you don’t need to be an online guru. Simply mastering the basics, being consistent, and having a simple action plan will put you on the right track.

Leverage Technology as You Scale

Leveraging technology is one of the best ways to stand out from other coaches.

Below are a few of my favorite ways to seamlessly integrate CoachNow technology into your business:

Improve Communication

Using disparate communication channels makes it’s impossible to stay on track and keep everything organized. Don’t fall into the trap of chasing down your last text or email with your athletes.

Use CoachNow and keep all of your athletes, analyses, and communications in ONE PLACE.

You’ll provide a better experience for your athletes, AND save yourself infinite headaches, giving you more time to do what you do best - coach.

Automate Your Coaching

You have a ton of expertise. Why not create a course and automate it with CoachNow?

With Automated Group Controls and the Template Scheduler, it’s never been easier to take your knowledge and make a digital course that’s accessible 24/7.

What better way to make extra money and free up some of your time?

Create a template, set it, and forget it.

Organize Your Content

Ever find yourself repeating a common drill or key piece of your coaching philosophy?

With CoachNow’s tags and filters, you can find any piece of coaching media you need instantly.

Stop repeating yourself and simply re-use your existing coaching content. Anything you’ve ever posted in CoachNow is instantly available in your cloud library and can be posted anywhere in the platform.

Record once, and post as many times as you like!

By narrowing your focus to a specific niche, you create a clear path for those who will benefit most from your expertise, ensuring your message resonates deeply.

Establishing a unique digital footprint broadens your reach and connects you with your ideal clients more effectively, turning online interactions into real-world success.

Leveraging technology like CoachNow not only enhances the coaching experience but also streamlines your operations, allowing you to dedicate more time to what truly matters—coaching.

Implementing these strategies isn't just about standing out; it's about building a coaching business that's as impactful as it is successful.

Which of these things do you plan to implement first? Where could you improve? Let me know – I always love hearing from coaches like you.

See you next week.
