In the last year, we’ve been releasing new features faster than any other time in the company’s history. I’m so proud of the team and all the hard work they’ve put in to make the platform the best it can be.
And, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, we’ve already released a ton of super helpful features in 2024.
I realized I haven’t written a summary of some of these features, so I thought it would be a good idea to do exactly that in a blog post.

Dynamic Captions
Dynamic Captions allow you to add text while recording a VoiceOver that appears and disappears exactly when you want it to.
Whether you're enhancing still images or adding more context to side-by-side video comparisons, this feature brings more visual context to your feedback and summarizes key points in an easy-to-reference way.

Apple Watch App for Coaches and Athletes
Our all-new Apple Watch app allows you to see your camera view right on your wrist and activate camera controls directly from your Apple Watch.
You can zoom in and out with the digital crown, adjust the FPS, turn on/off flash, and switch between the front and rear camera (note: front camera may not be compatible with all FPS options on some iPhone models).
The Apple Watch App is perfect for coaches who need to keep their hands free but still want precise control over their recording setup.

How to Use:
- Download the Apple Watch app and open it on your Apple Watch
- Open the video camera in CoachNow
- See current camera view and control your camera from your Apple Watch.
Video Branding (CoachNow PRO Only)
CoachNow PRO members can now add an extra touch of professionalism to videos with our new Intro and Outro Branding feature.
Create short clips that automatically bookend your videos, giving your content a consistent and polished look.
Once you've set your branding clips in the app settings, you can decide if you want them to be added to all videos by default. If you don’t want to add them to a specific video, you can disable them in the preview and trim screen before saving.

- Time Efficiency: No extra editing required – set it and forget it.
- Professionalism: Present a unified and professional appearance to your audience.
How to Use:
- Go to your settings and locate the section titled “Video Branding” (PRO members only)
- Tap “Intro & Outro”
- Add your intro and outro for both portrait and landscape mode.
- Choose your video thumbnail preferences
- Choose whether you want the intros and outros added to your videos by default.
Play a Video on a Loop
With our new Loop Video feature, you can easily play a video on repeat with a single tap, allowing you to continuously watch and analyze your recordings without needing to restart them manually.
This will save you time by allowing you to watch a video on repeat while you collect your thoughts before conducting your analysis. It also makes for an engaging and dynamic video, not just for your athletes but also for social media and emails.

- Effortless Analysis: Loop your videos for uninterrupted review and deeper analysis.
- Social Media Sharing: Create dynamic social media content by looping comparison videos or highlights.
- Efficiency: Keep watching without the hassle of restarting videos repeatedly.
How to Use:
- When conducting a video analysis, simply tap the left most button on the player wheel to activate a loop.
Other improvements:
We’ve made tons of smaller improvements throughout the platform that aid in stability and ease of use. Here’s a few highlights:
Improved Video Player Controls: We've improved the video player controls with a larger UI and repositioned the slow-motion wheel to address user feedback.
Now, it's easier than ever to review and analyze your recordings without accidentally tapping on the wrong icon.
Less Interruptive Push Notifications: We’ve refined our push notifications to be less intrusive, making them more suitable for a fast-paced coaching environment.
Notifications now just appear as small orange banners that pop up at the top of your screen for about three seconds before disappearing automatically. This strikes a perfect balance between ensuring you see key information, without interfering with your coaching.
Enhanced Stability: We've also made numerous under-the-hood improvements to ensure that your CoachNow experience is as smooth and stable as possible. Our recent releases have had the fewest glitches and crashes than any app version we have EVER released in the past.
2024 has already been a fantastic year for CoachNow, and we're excited to continue delivering features that make a real difference in your coaching.
